How much notice
do you need to schedule pet care for my pets?
No, but your fee will be adjusted to cover our time
to properly care for your pets. A higher rate may be charged for more
than 4 pets, care of numerous plants and numerous small animals. We will
inform & quote you a rate post-interview if these additional fees apply.
Upon contacting the office of Maui Pet Sitters for
an appointment at (808) 870-1493, (or emailing us) we will set up an
initial interview appointment to come out and meet you and your pets, at
no charge. At that time all
necessary paperwork will be filled out,
agreements signed, and your key can be picked up. If you are not
comfortable with giving us your key at that time, we do charge a $12 fee
to come and pick up the key later.

A day or two prior to your scheduled departure you
will receive a confirmation call from us to verify that our scheduled
visits are confirmed, and still meet your pets care requirements. During
this call we will again verify the starting date and time and the ending
date and time of your pet services. We will also leave you a
daily
journal detailing each of our visits, with comments about how your pets
are doing. We also offer free
Remote Pet Viewing.
The first time you use our service, we will
collect in full at the end of the service. We prefer to be paid
with a check (to avoid credit card fees). A post-dated check can be left
at your home, or credit card number can be placed on file to be run the
last day of service.
Once we have established a relationship,
convenient payment arrangements be made before service begins.

Upon receipt of your reservation request we will confirm your
reservation
has been booked.
You can choose to have us leave your at your home,
in a hidden designated spot outside. That way if your arrival is
delayed, call us, and we can get back in the house to care for your pets
once again.
If you will be using our service in the future, we
request that we keep your key. We store them in a lock box and they
are coded, and DO NOT contain your name or address.
Yes, but only in emergencies - this is not a good
practice.
Please double check that it is the correct key
before you leave. If we are unable to get in we must hire a locksmith,
at your expense. Any damage as a result of our inability to get inside
will be your responsibility.
Yes, emails are checked and returned 2 -3 times
per day, except on Sunday.
Phone calls are checked and returned during office
hours:
Monday – Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. We will take emergency calls
outside these hours and return them when we are able to.
We prefer two weeks, but know that is not always
possible. We suggest that as soon as your travel plans are firm that you
call us with your plans.
